Age progressions that project facial growth,
child age progressions, help provide a more current, “up-to-date” and
effective facial image in cases of missing or abducted children.
They may be hand drawn or computer-generated and must be done by
an artist with knowledge of the complex patterns of craniofacial
growth.
Karen’s drawings show a proportional comparison of the fetal skull
and the adult skull.
In this hand drawn
example, Karen Taylor shows a male child pictured at 2.5 years of
age progressed to 18 years of age. The photo of the young man when
located at age 18 is compared to the age progression with the facial
hair added.
