Book Illustration: Worse Than Death
 
Highly acclaimed author and historian Gary M. Lavergne sought Taylor's assistance with illustrations for his book Worse Than Death. Karen used crime scene photographs and eyewitness accounts to visually recreate the moments in which Abdelkrim Belachheb entered a Dallas nightclub in 1984 and gun downed seven people, killing six. Intended for use as explanatory material inside the book, her work ultimately adorned the cover as well.
